All Leveled classes: Our classes by level focus on technique, self-expression & performance within the joy of a disciplined yet encouraging learning environment. These classes are based on the dancer’s level, NOT on the dancer’s age. It is standard for dancers to spend about 1-3 years in one level.
Placement will be based on ability and past experience rather than age.
Level 1-For the student moving up from Combo class curriculum and ready for more focus in each style. This level is appropriate for dancers who are starting to master the basics of the style and are ready to take their dancing to the next level.
Level 2-for the student who has mastered all the basics and is ready to move to a higher level of difficulty.
Level 3-for the student who has demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Level II and is ready for more intricate choreography and can perfect details of more complicated steps.
Level 4-for the student with a significant amount of dance background who is ready for more intricate choreography and can perfect details of more complicated steps.
Level 5-for the student with a significant amount of dance background who is dancing at a very advanced level.
Level 1-6 Ballet Tech: Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of methods. Musicality is emphasized along with balance, coordination and grace through the strengthening of the body core. As students progress through each level the technique will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
Level 1-6 Contemporary Ballet: Join our Contemporary Ballet class and fuse the grace of classical ballet with the freedom of contemporary movement. Explore fluidity, expression, and storytelling through a blend of traditional techniques and modern choreography. This is a perfect class for dancers to refine their technique and expand their artistic horizons.
*Pre-Pointe: Prepare for the beauty and challenges of pointe work in our Pre-Pointe class. Strengthen your ankles, feet, and core while learning the fundamentals of proper alignment and technique essential for safe pointe work. Ideal for ballet students eager to progress to pointe shoes, this class provides the foundation for a graceful and confident transition to dancing en pointe. Dancers must be recommended by a teacher to join this class.
*Pointe: Pointe dancers must first take a PrePointe class and pass the end of the year “exam” to graduate to Pointe shoes. Going en pointe too early could be dangerous or harmful to the dancer’s body and result in the dancer practicing technique incorrectly, forming bad habits. This is only for dancers with strong ballet technique, whose body is strong enough and ready to go en pointe and for dancers who have a true love of ballet. Pointe dancers are required to take a minimum of 2 ballet classes in addition to their pointe class. Please contact the director if interested in Pointe. Dancers must be recommended by a teacher to join this class.
Level 1-6 Tap: Tap dance is a fun style where dancers make sounds and rhythms with their shoes. This lively rhythmic tapping makes the performer not just a dancer, but also a percussive musician. Dancers will learn popular tap steps, syncopation, intricate footwork and learn to create and recognize different rhythms.Placement will be based on ability and past experience rather than age.
Level 1-6 Jazz: Jazz is a very popular dance form. Its movements are big, exaggerated and there is typically an attitude the dancer wants to convey to the audience. Increase flexibility, strength, coordination and improve on your dance technique in this class. A variety of jazz styles will be explored including: contemporary jazz, lyrical, jazz funk, classic jazz and more. All dancers enrolled in Level 3 and Up Jazz are REQUIRED to take a ballet class as well as it is vital to have the ballet technique to support this style.
Level 1-6 Contemporary: Contemporary is a combination of dance techniques that also expresses personal emotion and passion from within the dancer. It is a blend of many dance styles including jazz, ballet, lyrical and modern. This unique style allows dancers to use their jazz skills in a new and exciting way. All dancers enrolled in Level 3 and Up Contemporary are REQUIRED to take a ballet class as well as it is vital to have the ballet technique to support this style.
Level 1-6 Hip Hop: Hip hop is a fun, high energy dance style that is found all over pop culture today. These dance moves will teach coordination, strength, quickness and agility. Dancers will move to well known music, learn fun dance steps and get a workout in this class! All dance moves and music are age appropriate. Placement will be based on ability and past experience rather than age.
Level 1-6 Acro: Acro Dance is the fusion of the artistic motion of dance and the athleticism of acrobatics. This program promotes excellence in flexibility, strength, balance, limbering, tumbling, basic contortion, and partner/group stunting for dancers. Students will be working on skills similar to those seen in gymnastics floor routines in addition to skills that can be used in their dancing.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting your dance journey, this class invites you to step into the spotlight and let your imagination take the lead.
Stretch and Strength (3rd and Up): Stretch and strengthen your way to greater flexibility and power in our dynamic Stretch & Strength class.
